Polyethylene (Polythene) is one of the world’s most popular plastics. It is an enormously versatile polymer which is suited to a wide range of applications from heavy-duty damp proof membrane for new buildings to light, flexible bags and films.

• The linear dimensions of our sheets are nominal and they have a tolerance of +-1/8" in each direction (length and width). Therefore the dimensions you request will be within the tolerance stated
• APPLICATIONS Chemical drums, jerricans, carboys, toys, picnic ware, household and kitchenware, cable insulation, carrier bags, food wrapping material.
• PROPERTIES Flexible, translucent/waxy, weatherproof, good low temperature toughness (to -60'C), easy to process by most methods, low cost, good chemical resistance.
• Sheet is new but may have light surface scratches. Please bear in mind that hdpe has a smooth surface on each face and that this material scratches very easily, because of this characteristic it is mostly used for mechanical applications where a cosmetic appearance is not required.
• Translucent - means that you can not see through the material. The material looks solid but will allow a small amount of light to pass through it. You may be able to see shadows or silhouettes of objects.
